Job Description:
The Student Services Coordinator, Sr. serves as a valuable point of contact for students at the Fulton Difference Student Center (FDSC). This role is responsible for triaging student inquiries, providing clear guidance on next steps, and assisting students directly with academic and administrative processes. The position ensures students receive timely, accurate support and fosters a positive experience aligned with the Fulton Difference commitment to student success.

The FDSC is dedicated to creating exceptional student experiences within the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering. The goal of the FDSC is to empower students through personalized support, innovative programming, and collaborative engagement. We provide resources and guidance that help students thrive academically, professionally, and personally; striving to ensure students have awareness of and knowledge about the tools and opportunities in place to support their success and make the most of their Fulton experience.

Position Salary Range:
$47,000 - $52,000 per year; DOE.

Essential Duties:
  • Serve as the point of contact for students at a centrally located front desk, providing quick answers and directing them to appropriate resources
  • Triage inquiries received in person, by phone, or via email, and determine whether to resolve immediately or escalate to an advisor
  • Manage cases in multiple Salesforce queues, assigning to advisors or triaging to other ASU departments when needed
  • Respond to general inquiries regarding academic policies, procedures, and campus resources using approved scripts or FAQs
  • Schedule advising appointments and assist with orientation or express advising sessions during peak periods
  • Draw upon a strong awareness of academic policies and procedures
  • Provide proactive guidance to help students meet academic and administrative deadlines and avoid barriers to success
  • Educate students on how to navigate university systems and processes independently
  • Contribute to creating an inclusive and welcoming environment for all students
  • Support and deliver engagement initiatives and events that foster community and belonging
  • Utilize reports, macros, quick text, and templates for efficient communication in case management systems
  • Support proactive outreach campaigns by preparing materials and tracking responses
  • Answer phone calls for multiple Advising units within the Fulton Schools of Engineering
  • Coordinate with academic advisors, student success team members, and student employees to ensure timely case resolution. May supervise student employees
  • Provide clear, courteous, and professional communication to students and staff in all interactions

Desired Qualifications:
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience with enterprise systems such as Salesforce and PeopleSoft for student record management
  • Experienced with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) for documentation, reporting, and communication
  • Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Strong organizational skills for managing multiple priorities and deadlines

Working Environment:
  • Activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, keyboarding, and manipulating a computer mouse; required to stand for varying lengths of time and walk moderate distances to perform work
  • Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, pushing and pulling up to 25 pounds
  • Regular activities require ability to quickly change priorities which may include and/or are subject to resolution of conflicts  
  • Ability to clearly communicate to perform essential functions
