The role involves procuring equipment, services, and supplies in compliance with the SC Consolidated Procurement Code and internal university policies while thoroughly reviewing purchase requisitions from systemwide campuses to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Highlights
Process requisitions for procurement following SC Consolidated Procurement Code and university policies.
Issue competitive solicitations to obtain goods and services for the entire University system.
Serve as liaison and consultant for faculty, staff, suppliers, and constituents across the university community.
Respond to Freedom of Information requests according to internal and state policies.
Maintain the department’s Minority Vendor Database.
Perform spend analysis and prepare procurement reports for management.
Requires a bachelor’s degree and one or more years of related experience or equivalent certification/training.
Preferred knowledge includes University policies, funding sources, SC Consolidated Code, data interpretation, and information dissemination.
Must have excellent written and oral communication skills, analytical and decision-making abilities, and capability to work well with a diverse group.
Starting salary is $45,133 with a salary range commensurate with qualifications.

Responsible for the complete and accurate review of purchase requisitions initiated by systemwide campuses for the procurement of equipment and supplies but not not limited to all printed materials and equipment. Job Related Minimum Required Education and Experience | Requires a bachelor’s degree in a job related field and 1 or more years of job related experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience. Required Certification, Licensure/Other Credentials | Preferred Qualifications | Knowledge of University policies and procedures as it relates to procurement. A knowledge of University funding sources and SC Consolidated Code. Ability to interpret data. Ability to collect, assemble, and disseminate information. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities | A knowledge of State and University policy and procedures. Familiarization with SC Consolidated Procurement Code.
