The Role
We are seeking a skilled IT System Administrator I with a minimum of 4 years of experience to manage and support our organization's IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in VPNs, Jira administration and customization, Google Workspace, and Okta, ensuring secure and efficient system operations. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in a technical field and a proactive approach to maintaining and optimizing IT systems.
What You'll Do
- System Administration: Maintain and troubleshoot IT systems, including endpoints, and SaaS applications to ensure maximum employee productivity.
- VPN Management: Configure, monitor, and maintain VPN (Jamf, tailscale) solutions to ensure secure remote access for employees and stakeholders.
- Jira Administration: Administer and customize Jira for GoGuradian, including workflow configuration, user management, and integration with other tools.
- Google Workspace Management: Manage Google Workspace environment, including user accounts, permissions, and collaboration tools (e.g., Gmail, Google Drive, Google Calendar).
- Okta Administration: Work with Okta identity management, including single sign-on (SSO), multi-factor authentication (MFA), and user provisioning/deprovisioning.
- Security and Compliance: Implement and monitor security protocols to protect systems and data, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and industry standards.
- Technical Support: Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 support for end-users, resolving hardware, software, and connectivity issues promptly.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, processes, and troubleshooting steps.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to support IT projects and initiatives, ensuring seamless integration of tools and systems.
Who You Are
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in IT system administration or a similar role.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of VPN technologies (e.g., configuration, troubleshooting, and security best practices).
- Proficiency in Jira administration and customization, including workflows, dashboards, and plugins.
- Hands-on experience managing Google Workspace (admin console, user management, security settings).
- Expertise in Okta for identity and access management (SSO, MFA, user lifecycle management).
- Familiarity with Windows, Linux, or macOS environments.
- Scripting knowledge (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, or Python) is a plus.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration and end-user support.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Certifications (preferred but not required):
- Google Workspace Administrator
- Okta Certified Professional
- CompTIA Network+ or equivalent

The typical total on target earnings for this position is $70,000 - $80,000. The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for this position and your pay will be determined by a variety of factors, including your primary work location, skills, qualifications and experience.
