The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Position Summary

The Systems Analyst will work closely with the Systems Development team to support the enterprise-wide Human Resource application.  The Analyst will focus on providing technical support to the HRIS function, such as system maintenance, upgrades, administration, and enhancement of HRIS applications. 

The candidate will also be responsible for technical design and development of system integrations. This position requires someone who can develop functional specifications/requirements, create/execute test scripts, and perform end-user testing. Assist with upgrades, updates, module implementations, customizations, and system enhancements.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as a liaison between Human Resources and Information Technology to effect programming changes, implement users’ requests, and system enhancements.
  • Uses advanced knowledge and analytical skills pertaining to HRIS in order to guide members of HR and system users.
  • Provides statistical and analytical data to support the basis for informed decision-making.
  • Gathers business requirements, demonstrates proof of concept, provides technical assistance in configuration, conducts user acceptance testing, and assists the HRIS team in migrating the solution.
  • Creates technical, interface-related test scripts and carries out the testing using the extraction and reporting tools to build and test scenarios.
  • Uses the appropriate tools in order to identify variances and research discrepancies to ensure the soundness of the HR Systems.
  • Ensures the accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality of the HR System.
  • Assists in projects including module implementations, upgrades, and various integration efforts.
  • Provides guidance to the Communication Team in the development of system training materials and presentations that can be used by members of the user community. Performs training via phone, Zoom, or in-person.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems or related field is preferred.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working with PeopleSoft.

  • Proficient in core PeopleSoft HCM functionality, including navigation, data updates, and corrections.

  • Working knowledge of one or more modules: Payroll for North America, Workforce Administration, Manager Self Service, and Employee Self Service.

  • Familiar with PeopleSoft Query Manager, SQL Developer, Data Warehousing, Application Designer, Application Engine, Component Interface, Process Scheduler, and Workflow Engine.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including pivot tables, formulas, and conditional formatting.

  • Skilled in analyzing complex business requirements and translating them into effective technical solutions.

  • Experience identifying variances, researching discrepancies, and providing production support.

  • Effective collaborator with Finance, IT, and other functional areas.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills with the ability to handle information confidentially.

  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail.

  • Naturally inquisitive with a strong desire to learn and grow.
