Required Qualifications: Applicants must specifically address how they meet these required qualifications to meet the requirements of the position.  | Bachelor’s degree in a related field (such as communication, business, education, human resources, or a closely related discipline) or equivalent combination of education and experience consistent with staff roles at Texas State. Demonstrated experience providing administrative or program support in a professional setting. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, courteously, and professionally. Proven organizational skills with attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines, and comfort working in a fast‑paced environment. Demonstrated commitment to excellent customer service. Proficiency with standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office or Google Workspace) and comfort learning new systems.
Preferred Qualifications  | Experience in higher education, human resources, training and development, or communications. Experience coordinating events or programs that involve multiple stakeholders. Experience using learning management systems (such as SuccessFactors Learning) or similar platforms. Demonstrated ability to work effectively and collaboratively with individuals from various backgrounds and roles.

Job Description  | The Talent Development & Communications Representative supports a culture of learning, connection, and recognition for Texas State employees by providing high‑level administrative, logistical, and customer service support to the Talent Development & Communications (TDC) team. This position helps coordinate employee learning opportunities, recognition programs, and engagement initiatives that align with HR’s mission to enhance the employee experience.

Job Duties  | Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Provide frontline customer support for SuccessFactors Learning, responding to employee questions, troubleshooting common issues, and escalating complex matters as needed. Support employee recognition and awards programs by managing nomination processes, committee support, communication, event coordination and related web content. Support employee engagement and morale initiatives in collaboration with HR Project Coordinator including logistics, vendor coordination, communications, and basic proposal support. Maintain accurate records, reports, and tracking for trainings, recognition programs, and engagement activities to support assessment and continuous improvement. Provide coordination for the TDC team by responding to inquiries, maintaining organized digital files, monitoring supplies and materials, overseeing mail and general correspondence, and supporting core operations such as calendars, meetings, purchasing, and basic budget tracking. Serve as HR liaison for the Retired Faculty & Staff Association (RFSA) providing a level of support that manages the relationship while being a good steward of University resources. Perform other related duties as assigned
