This vital role supports the proposal, preparation, and submission of grants and contracts, enabling groundbreaking research across the University.
About the Role:
With employees in the department currently working across the U.S. and from both coasts, this is a great remote work opportunity. For those near Lexington, KY, hybrid work may also be available.
The Pre-Award Supervisor will support the Pre-Award Manager and Pre-Award Assistant Director. They will provide daily oversight and supervision of a pre-award team of four-six members within CGS. This individual must demonstrate an expert level of understanding of sponsor project proposal submission processes and associated university and sponsor policies. They will serve as first point of contact for compliance review for CGS pre-award sponsored research activity and must have project management skills to support research administration activities for large/complex proposal submissions.
This individual will serve as a subject matter expert in grant management processes and a resource/advisor for pre-award team members for CGS processes and procedures. This includes developing and conducting training programs for team members on internal and external policies and procedures specific to sponsored projects.
