About You
You’re a builder and a systems thinker. You’ve spent years driving complex software or gaming initiatives across Engineering, QA, and Product — and you're ready to lead at the intersection of quality, process, and execution. You care deeply about building things that work, and you know that smooth delivery depends on strong coordination and scalable systems.

What You'll Do
  • Own and drive the Quality & Release Operations strategy across the company, spanning multiple platforms (web, mobile, backend)
  • Lead and manage a remote team of 15+ QA engineers, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and technical growth
  • Hands on + Team Management
  • Partner closely with Engineering, Product, and Design teams to ensure seamless planning, prioritization, and execution of programs from idea to launch
  • Build and optimize processes (Notion → JIRA → Done) to streamline workflows, reduce blockers, and improve delivery velocity
  • Lead on implementation and continuous improvement of test automation frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and release best practices
  • Identify cross-team dependencies and risks early, and resolve them through proactive program planning and stakeholder management
  • Monitor industry trends and tools to evolve our QA and delivery stack

Preferred Skills
  • 5+ years in technical program management, delivery leadership, or engineering management in a software or gaming environment
  • Strong experience leading distributed teams with a focus on both people and program outcomes
  • Familiarity with QA automation tools and CI/CD infrastructure; able to partner effectively with engineers to scale quality processes
    • (Playwright, Selenium, Cypress)
  • Deep understanding of the software development lifecycle, agile methodologies, and release management
  • Comfortable owning tooling and systems across project tracking (e.g. Notion, Jira, GitHub workflows)
  • Passion for chess, or strong curiosity about chess products and the community
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills working in a fully distributed team
  • Sense of ownership and responsibility
