As a technology specialist I, you will provide support for Apple or Windows-based applications and operating systems. You will document procedures and completed work, troubleshoot and repair issues, and assist with various network services, emails, and internet access. Additionally, you will support classroom audiovisual equipment, perform software and hardware installations or upgrades, and maintain the computer asset inventory for assigned areas. You will also offer on-site support for various weekly events.
The ideal candidate can transport monitors and central processing units between offices and other locations. The candidate is willing to attend internal and external training workshops and demonstrates the ability to support audio/video events outside of regular business hours on an occasional basis.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in a computer-related discipline
- Two years of relevant professional experience or training
- Proficient with supporting Apple and Windows hardware and software
- Possession of a reliable transportation method
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with current Microsoft and Apple OS software, current hardware for Mac and PC, and iOS mobile devices
- Basic networking
Certificates, licenses, and registrations:
- Valid driver’s license
- CompTIA A+ and Network+ certifications
Travel required:
Work hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
