The expected base salary range for this position is $58,860-$91,500. This salary range may vary based on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, education, and geographic location.

JOB SUMMARY: The Trainer/Instructional Designer is responsible for developing and maintaining training programs and learning resources for WCG products and software solutions. The role focuses primarily on instructional design, content development, and virtual training delivery. Types of materials include user guides, quick-reference guides, how-to videos, eLearning modules, and instructor-led training materials.

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily.  The accountabilities listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required.
  • Develops software reference documentation, designs storyboards for interactive content, facilitates virtual training sessions for clients as needed, and applies a working knowledge of instructional design principles and online content development tools.
  • Designs, develops and implements effective blended training solutions by collaborating with project managers, training specialists, department leaders, IT partners, and clients to assess learning needs and ensures deliverables are completed on time. 
  • Ensures all training resources are technically sound, accurate, complete, and aligns with developmental standards defined.
  • Continuously learns new products and updates, synthesizing information into clear instructional materials, job aids, and FAQs that support timely, accurate product understanding.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned to support department and organizational objectives.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor. These may, on occasion, be unrelated to the position described here.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design/Technology, or equivalent combination of education, skills, and experience to perform the job.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience designing and implementing blended learning solutions for software applications required; experience with clinical research software preferred.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to deliver engaging and effective virtual training content.
  • Experience using instructional design and multimedia development tools (e.g., Microsoft Office products, Articulate 360, Adobe Creative Cloud, TechSmith Snagit, Camtasia, WalkMe) to create diverse learning assets.
  • Working knowledge of instructional design principles, adult learning theory, learning management systems (LMS), and eLearning development methodologies. 
  • Ability to evaluate, select, and adopt new development tools to meet evolving business needs.
