Job Description
The Training and Administrative Manager plays a strategic and hands-on role in the development, implementation, and oversight of Inland Devon’s company-wide training initiatives, policy and procedural documentation, administrative communications, and more. This individual will serve as the central point of accountability for maintaining the Operations Manual, updating policies, creating standardized training materials, managing internal communication strategies, and supporting the alignment of training and compliance across departments. This role is critical in ensuring operational consistency, compliance, and the ongoing development of our team members at all levels.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Training Development & Execution:
- Design, build, and maintain scalable training programs for all levels of field and corporate staff, including onboarding, Operations, compliance, and professional development.
- Create and manage digital learning content and curricula (eLearning courses, job aids, videos, etc.) to support learning across all store locations.
- Oversee in-person and virtual training sessions including New Hire Orientation, Manager Development, and Leadership Training.
- Implement assessments to validate training effectiveness and track skill development post-training.
Operations Manual & Policy Management
- Support the development and refinement of the Inland Devon Operations Manual by assisting with content creation and periodic reviews.
- Collaborate with Senior Leadership to review existing SOPs and help develop, document, and communicate new policies or procedural updates.
- Assist in maintaining version control of all documents to ensure teams have access to the most current and accurate information.
Internal Communication & Policy Rollout
- Develop and distribute approved internal communications such as policy updates, program launches, compliance reminders, and operational memos in alignment with company tone and brand.
- Partner with Senior Leadership to craft clear, strategic communications that support business priorities and cultural alignment.
- Oversee the organization and accessibility of training and policy documents within the company’s internal systems (e.g., Dayforce Hub, DSS, and/or LMS).
Administrative & Cross-Functional Support
- Act as liaison between Operations, HR, compliance, and IT teams to ensure training aligns with legal requirements, employee expectations, and business objectives.
- Support initiatives that drive field team accountability, such as compliance tracking, policy acknowledgment, and training completions.
- Partner with leadership to gather training feedback and make data-driven improvements to content and delivery methods.
Compliance & Process Standardization
- Ensure all training content and documentation supports federal, state, and company-specific compliance standards.
- Collaborate with Risk and Safety teams to include safety training protocols in line with OSHA and industry best practices.
- Implement consistent review and approval workflows for operational documents and training content.
Company Meetings and Event Coordination
- Oversee the planning and execution of company-wide meetings, including annual training summits, regional leadership events, and internal workshops.
- Coordinate logistics such as scheduling, agenda development, material preparation, technology setup, and venue arrangements.
- Partner with executive leadership to ensure meetings align with strategic goals and provide clear follow-up communication and action items.
- Support special events and employee engagement initiatives, ensuring consistency, professionalism, and strong internal communication throughout.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Organizational Development, Instructional Design & Learning Technology, Education or related field, or equivalent experience in a similar role.
Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in training development, instructional design, or operations administration.
- Experience in the self-storage industry or retail multi-unit operations highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge and demonstrated implementation of adult learning principles and theories, policy writing, and corporate communications.
Skills:
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong analytical, organizational, critical thinking, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word), Adobe Creative tools, Articulate Storyline, and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Familiarity with Dayforce or similar HRIS systems a plus.

Annual Base Salary Range: $84,364 - $100,000.
