Job Summary:
The Training and Development Specialist will create, develop, implement, and conduct training and development programs for employees.
Education and Experience:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related field
- 5+ years of working In learning management systems and providing dashboards, reports, and metrics.
- Certification preferred: SHRM-SCP, SHRM-CP, or SPHR.
Experience:
- Prefer Healthcare, Biotech or Life Sciences experience.
- Hands-on experience using and configuring a learning management system
- Experience building and tracking learning and development metrics and KPIs across multiple disciplines.
- Prior experience working cross-functionally with Operations, Sales, Finance, Legal, and IT to execute enterprise initiatives.
- Experience using a LMS system such as UKG, Workday, Sum-Total, Paycom, Paycor, etc.
- Other software knowledge preference includes Articulate, Camtasia
Key Responsibilities:
· Knowledge of training and development procedures and techniques, learning management and learning content management systems; and group processes, group dynamics, and interpersonal relations.
· Skill in oral and written communication, in instructing others, and in using a computer and applicable software.
· Ability to communicate effectively.
- Delivers training in a classroom, distance learning environment, or occasionally In an e-learning environment.
- Organizes and prepares materials and supplies for training courses.
- Sets up and arranges training room to support the learning objectives.
- Enters data into a training database.
- Maintains training records, and training calendars including course rosters and records of participation.
- Delivers training in a classroom, distance learning environment, or, occasionally, in an eLearning environment.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Skills and Competencies:
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong presentation skills.
- Adept with a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods.
- Ability to curriculum develop.
- Ability to evaluate and research training options and alternatives.
- Ability to design and implement effective training and development.
- Extremely proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Teams, and related software programs.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- Frequently required to sit, talk, or hear.
- Regular use of computer and office equipment.
- Occasional travel may be required.
