Description

We are seeking an experienced Interim Medical & Key Account Manager (KAM) Training Manager to serve as the commercial training co-lead for a high-profile pharmaceutical alliance launch. This role will be responsible for the end-to-end design, development, and delivery of a best-in-class onboarding and training program supporting both Key Account Managers (KAMs) and Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs).  

The successful candidate will partner closely with commercial, medical, market access, and institutional strategy leaders to ensure a seamless and integrated learning experience. This role requires a strategic thinker with deep pharmaceutical training expertise, strong cardiovascular knowledge, and the ability to lead complex cross-functional initiatives in a fast-paced alliance environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary commercial training lead and program integrator for the KAM and Medical onboarding curriculum.

  • Be responsible for learning strategy, content development, and leading  implementation of training.

  • Co-lead the development and execution of a comprehensive onboarding and training strategy supporting field readiness and ensure all milestones are achieved ahead of launch readiness requirements.

  • Ensure alignment across commercial, medical, market access, and institutional strategy functions.

  • Partner closely with the KAM Liaison Training Lead to drive consistency and integration across learning programs.

  • Ensure content is engaging, compliant, and aligned with business objectives.

  • Facilitate communication among internal and external partners to ensure timely execution of project deliverables.

  • Manage external training and learning vendors to ensure quality, efficiency, and timely delivery.

  • Escalate and resolve issues proactively to keep initiatives on track.

  • Drive continuous improvement based on stakeholder feedback and business needs.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.

  • Requires 3 days in the Titusville, NJ office.

  • 5+ years of pharmaceutical industry experience in sales training, medical training, sales excellence, learning and development, or commercial capabilities roles.

  • Demonstrated experience supporting Key Account Managers (KAMs), Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs), and/or field medical teams.

  • Strong disease-state and clinical acumen, including the anticoagulant market (stroke, acute coronary syndrome, and atrial fibrillation) and the competitive landscape.

  • Experience developing and delivering large-scale onboarding and launch training programs.

  • Deep understanding of integrated delivery networks (IDNs), hospital systems, market access, and healthcare decision-making.

  • Strong project management and stakeholder management skills.

  • Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives and influence senior leadership.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Corporate sales excellence, commercial effectiveness, or capability-building leadership experience.

  • Advanced facilitation and instructional design expertise.

  • Experience supporting cardiovascular product launches.

  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and modern learning methodologies.

The anticipated hourly rate for this position is $60.00/hr to $64.00/hr but may vary based on various factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and proficiency for the role.
