Job Description

Who We Are
HaloMD specializes in Independent Dispute Resolution (IDR) through The No Surprises Act and state regulations for out-of-network healthcare providers, leveraging advanced technology and deep industry expertise to secure optimized reimbursements.

Position Summary
The Training Specialist plays a vital role in supporting employee success by delivering engaging training programs across operations and employee onboarding to include Orientation, IDR training, General organizational training, Train-the-Trainer and other similar training programs aligned to business needs. While occasional support in developing training materials may be required, the primary focus is on facilitation, creating an exceptional learning experience for our new hires and current employees, cross-training, participating or leading Train-the-Trainer sessions, and ensuring employees are equipped to thrive in their roles.
 
Key Responsibilities
Facilitation/Training
  • Deliver Training: Facilitate high-quality, interactive training programs (primarily virtual, but may be in-person from time-to-time) using adult learning principles to drive engagement and retention.
  • Train-the-Trainer: Prepare and coach internal trainers and subject matter experts to deliver consistent, effective training experiences.
  • Technology Integration: Utilize Microsoft Teams and other digital platforms to conduct virtual training and enhance learner engagement.
Subject Matter Expertise and Collaboration
  • Subject Matter Expert (SME): You will be the subject matter expert in the topics you facilitate, ensuring you stay connected to the business and training leadership in order to present factual and up-to-date information.
  • Materials Collaboration: As requested, contribute your ideas and to the development or enhancement of training materials (i.e. special projects or program updates).
 
Professional Development
  • Continue to develop your facilitative skillset with internal facilitation skills certification, staying abreast of current training techniques and best practices.
  • Provide mentoring and facilitative coaching to training specialists.
  • Observe training specialists and provide feedback on scorecard to include facilitation skills, time management, following the training materials, etc.
 
Other Duties as Assigned
  • Support special projects and initiatives related to learning and development.
  • Partner with training leader/coordinator to plan training schedules.
  • Stay connected with the business, ensuring operational updates and other changes are incorporated into the training (through partnership with training leadership and instructional designer).
 
Required Qualifications
  • Associate's degree or higher is required
  • 3+ years experience in operations/arbitration role or training role.
  • Strong facilitation/presentation and communication (oral/written) skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Primarily PowerPoint, Word, and Teams.
  • Ability to build rapport with employees across all levels.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, remote environment.
  • Ability to adapt to frequent change.
  • Supervisory management experience, as may have direct reports.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Human Resources, Healthcare, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Experience in employee onboarding, training and/or arbitration supervisor experience.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles and learning methodologies.
 
Other Requirements
  • Must maintain professional experience.
  • Always on camera for meetings and training sessions.
  • Ability to work a consistent and flexible training schedule, as needed.
