Required Qualifications: Applicants must specifically address how they meet these required qualifications to meet the requirements of the position.
  • Demonstrated skills in teaching and learning technologies and design practices across multiple modalities, including learning management systems (LMS), videoconferencing software, AI, and in-classroom technologies
  • Demonstrated knowledge of graphic design principles
  • Experience coordinating, promoting, and marketing large and small events
  • Experience working collaboratively with stakeholders to plan and execute events
  • Ability to collect and analyze data and use evidence-based practices and critical thinking skills to solve problems
  • Ability to utilize strategic planning abilities and project management skills to work accurately and expediently
  • Demonstrated skills in print/web design and photo/video editing
  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Experience in working with faculty at the university or community college level

Job Description
The Training Specialist is responsible for planning, assessing, coordinating, and providing program materials for organizational training and development.
Job Duties
  • Recruit faculty and administrator subject matter experts on identified topics and coordinate, host, and facilitate CTLS programs that support faculty teaching success and participant engagement
  • Develop registration and promotional material and market Center for Teaching, Learning, & Scholarship (CTLS) programming through electronic media using graphic design software and principles
  • Communicate effectively and work collaboratively with unit and campus stakeholders to plan and execute events
  • Design and develop content to support faculty success in teaching and learning via print/web/LMS content
  • Keep abreast of new trends in teaching and learning and provide support for CTLS pilot programs
  • Collect and analyze data on CTLS programs
  • Perform other related duties as required
