Position Description
We are seeking an experienced Training Specialist / Instructional Designer to support enterprise technology and business operations for a public sector environment. This role will design, develop, and deliver engaging technical training programs for enterprise applications, including ERP and PeopleSoft Financials.

The ideal candidate is passionate about adult learning, accessibility, and modern instructional design. You will create instructor-led, virtual, and eLearning content while collaborating with cross-functional Agile teams to ensure training aligns with system design and business needs.

This is a hybrid opportunity for professionals located in or near Austin, TX.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver role-based training programs for ERP and financial systems.
  • Develop accessibility-compliant training content from concept through deployment.
  • Create instructor-led, virtual, and eLearning training materials and curricula.
  • Deliver training in classroom, remote, and multimedia environments.
  • Produce course outlines, instructional aids, user guides, and technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with technical teams during system design, testing, and implementation.
  • Conduct training evaluations, assessments, and continuous content improvements.
  • Maintain and manage training repositories and collaboration tools such as SharePoint.
  • Research and recommend learning technologies, vendors, and training tools.
  • Ensure compliance with EIR Accessibility standards and assistive technologies.
  • Support Agile, iterative, and incremental project delivery environments.
     
Required Skills/Education
  • 8+ years of experience developing training programs for ERP systems.
  • 8+ years creating accessibility-compliant learning content.
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience with eLearning authoring tools/platforms.
  • 4+ years of experience with PeopleSoft FSCM 9.2.
  • 4+ years using Microsoft O365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
  • 2+ years using Microsoft Teams in large team environments.
  • 2+ years managing and maintaining SharePoint sites.
  • Strong experience delivering instructor-led, virtual, and multimedia training.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear, user-friendly materials.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Education, Computer Science, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
