Department SummaryThe College of Health and Public Service (HPS) at the University of North Texas, distinguished as one of the few Tier One research universities designated as a Hispanic-Serving Institution (HSI), prepares graduates to address diverse and complex social issues such as aging, disability, disaster management and recovery, criminal justice, health disparities, and public safety, and find solutions to challenges in public administration, public health, and urban design. UNT WISE is the premier training and consultancy group for programs seeking to enhance employment outcomes for individuals with disabilities. We conduct training, host conferences and provide technical assistance to community rehabilitation programs (CRP) and organizations serving individuals with disabilities. UNT WISE provides more than 100 training events, serving more than 2,300 individuals, annually.

Position OverviewThe UNT WISE Senior Program Project Coordinator is responsible for oversight of a program/project. Duties may include program planning and development, grant writing, budget allocation and monitoring, and oversight of program/project activities including: program marketing, program/curriculum development, assessment, and community outreach. This role may be responsible for supervision of a team on an ongoing or project basis.

Minimum QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Higher Education, Psychology, Business, Data Science and four years' of professional related experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Preferred QualificationsThe preferred candidate will possess the following additional qualifications: MS in Rehabilitation Counseling or similar field Certified Rehabilitation Counselor. Experience with TWS-VRS Employment Services. Experience working with varying disabilities. Knowledge about 14-C programs Ability to adapt to program/project and incorporate creativity and originality. Required: Dependent upon program/project.

Job Duties:Plan, develop and produce material specific to project needs Serve as Resource Expert for Employment and Vocational Rehabilitation Services. Disseminate information about UNT WISE programming at conferences, community events, etc. Provide training for rehabilitation personnel, consumers with disabilities and rehabilitation stakeholders in various formats (i.e. online, in person, webinars). Develop strategic alliances within the community including UNT to promote collaboration around programs and research. Complete programmatic reports and administrative functions as required within timeframes. Plan, organize and participate in special projects as assigned by Project Director or UNT WISE Director.
