 Position Summary Information 
Minimum Qualifications  | Bachelor’s degree in education, health sciences, public health, workforce development, student services, higher education, business administration, or a related field. At least two years of experience supporting training programs, student programs, workforce initiatives, academic programs, grant-funded projects, or partner-facing implementation. Strong organizational, communication, documentation, and event/logistics coordination skills. Experience maintaining spreadsheets, participant records, shared files, or program tracking systems.
License/Certification Required  | No license or certification is required.
Essential Job Functions  | The Workforce Implementation and Training Support Specialist supports the implementation of workforce training, pathway activities, cohorts, training-site coordination, and participant-facing supports across App State’s rural health workforce portfolio.

Coordinate training schedules, cohort logistics, participant communications, and training-session materials. Support implementation of workforce pathway activities, including Scholars, apprenticeships, certificate programs, field placements, and other workforce supports as assigned. Maintain participant records, attendance records, training completion documentation, and program output trackers. Coordinate with BCHS faculty, AppWell staff, and partner sites to support academic-practice integration. Assist with training-site onboarding, partner communications, and documentation related to site readiness. Support preparation of materials for student, employer, preceptor, mentor, and partner-facing activities. Help collect, organize, and report workforce program data tied to grant metrics and Hub Action Plan monitoring. Support communication with students, trainees, faculty, and community partners. Identify logistical barriers affecting participant or partner engagement and escalate issues to the Workforce Operations and Partner Support Manager. Provide practical implementation support for events, pathway activities, and training programs.
Preferred Qualifications  | Experience with health professions education, workforce development, student services, community college partnerships, training-site coordination, or rural health programs. Experience supporting cohorts, certificate programs, internships, apprenticeships, field placements, or continuing education activities. Familiarity with App State academic systems, BCHS programs, or regional workforce partners. Project management, workforce development, public health, clinical, or related certifications may be preferred where applicable.
Work Schedule/Hours  | Mon-Fri, 8 00-5 00 pm
