Job Description
The College of Liberal Arts and Human Sciences is seeking an academic advisor who has experience with and enthusiasm for supporting a diverse and growing undergraduate student population. In particular, this advisor will support the Department of Political Science. Thus, we encourage applicants to apply who may hold degrees in a Political Science, International Studies, or related fields.
Reporting to the Director of Advising, the Academic Advisor serves as a full-time (calendar year) administrative and professional faculty member in the Undergraduate Academic Affairs Office within the College of Liberal Arts and Human Sciences. This is a hybrid position with a rotation of on-campus and remote days; some work is required in the evenings and on weekends. The role of the Academic Advisor is to assist the college in meeting its goals for supporting students through recruitment, persistence, retention, and graduation.
