 Position Description 
Advertised Job Summary  | The Academic Program Assessment and Data Analytics Manager provides oversight for program assessment in the College of Arts and Sciences and for the ongoing collection and analysis of data relevant to strategic decision making. This position requires strong analytical skills and the ability to collaborate with university, college and departmental leadership.

The Academic Program Assessment and Data Analytics Manager is responsible for ongoing review of degree programs to sustain academic excellence and ensure compliance with reporting requirements. The director manages the program review timeline in accordance with university and college policy, supports departments as they conduct cyclical program assessment, identifies best practices in assessment and works with the college, departments and programs to implement and maintain a culture of continuous academic improvement.

This position supports strategic decision making in the College by collecting and converting data from multiple platforms into understandable formats and actionable metrics. Tracks and analyzes key performance indicators. Researches trends in higher education and comparative data from peer and peer aspirant institutions.

The Academic Program Assessment and Data Analytics Manager will coordinate with other members of the Office of Curriculum Management and Data Analytics to support cohesive management of the college curriculum including program development, execution, and assessment.

In the execution of their duties the Academic Program Assessment and Data Analytics Manager will collaborate closely with college leadership to ensure continuous alignment with college priorities.

Working under the general direction of the Assistant Dean for Curriculum and reporting to the Director of Academic Planning, the Academic Program Assessment and Data Analytics Manager is responsible for the day-to-day performance of duties assigned and is expected to be self-directed in those duties.
Job Related Minimum Required Education and Experience  | Requires a bachelor’s degree in a job related field and 3 or more years of job related experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience.

 Job Duties 
Job Duty  | Direct academic program assessment initiatives in the College. Serve as the point of contact to the college’s academic units for external reviews, program assessment and continuous instructional improvement. Ensure programs meet university timelines for periodic assessment, including meeting regional accreditation review requirements and professional accrediting board requirements. Coordinate with the Office of Institutional Research, Assessment, and Analytics (OIRAA) and with the Office of the Provost to ensure compliance with university policy. Track the status of and maintain records for all program assessment initiatives. Facilitate best practices in both degree program assessment and general education assessment. Serve on committees as needed.
