Required Qualifications: Applicants must specifically address how they meet these required qualifications to meet the requirements of the position. 
Bachelor’s Degree Prior experience working at a college/university. Experience planning and implementing programs or projects. Demonstrated ability to write coherently and precisely. Demonstrated knowledge of common office software applications, e.g., Microsoft Office Suite. (Must indicate specific software applications in which you have experience on the application, resume or cover letter). Evidence of attention to detail, as demonstrated in a grammatically correct, articulate, and concise cover letter addressed to the McCoy College Student Success Center Search Committee.

Preferred Qualifications 
Advanced degree or hours toward an advanced degree. Evidence of experience working in customer service. Demonstrated experience with small- and large-scale event planning and coordination. Evidence of public speaking experience; demonstrating strong presentation and verbal communication skills. Experience creating and facilitating training materials, programs, and/or workshops. Demonstrated experience working in career services, employer relations, alumni relations, a student success center, or program coordination at an institution of higher education. Evidence of professional accomplishments such as publications, conference presentations, committee leadership, or performance awards. Knowledge of Texas State University policies and procedures. Experience working with Handshake, GATO, SARS Anywhere, BANNER, SAP, CANVAS, Qualtrics.

Job Description 
Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the center and assisting with the implementation and delivery of programs and events.

Job Duties 
Oversee center daily operations and assist with establishing and fostering a welcoming environment to all student success center visitors and guests. Responsible for providing McCoy College Student Organization support in collaboration with Director and Associate Dean of Undergraduate programs, including coordination of assigning and maintaining lockers, bulletin boards, recording Student Leadership Org Council meeting minutes, general correspondence, organization fairs/events, and assistance with developing and delivering orientation training to newly elected student organization officers. Primarily responsible for overseeing input, organization, and communication of events included in the MCSSC calendar in coordination with partnering university and college departments. Assist with planning, coordination, and delivery of student success center events in collaboration with the McCoy College Events Coordinator and various applicable departments. Responsible for assisting with resource management, budget, and purchasing for the student success center. Collaborate with academic departments and university tutoring services to develop initiatives for providing and promoting tutoring services and access to supplemental resources to support student academic success. Assist with assessing and collecting data for annual report detailing student success center services, center staff professional development activities, and effectiveness of student engagement programs. Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training incoming student success center staff and student workers. Assist with developing and creating effective communication materials related to student success center services, events, and resources. Assist Director with reviewing, maintaining, and updating the student success center website to ensure it follows all university guidelines and best practices to provide helpful and accurate information and optimal user experience to site visitors. Participate in University activities such as Bobcat Days, New Student Orientation, Commencement, and any other university or McCoy College functions as needed. Required to work evenings and/or weekends for event support, as needed. Occasionally provide direct administrative support to the Director. Other duties as assigned.
