 Position Summary Information 
Job Description Summary  | The Assistant to the programming department and is responsible for a range of tasks to support the non-profit’s goals and promote the corporate image by representing the programming team both internally and externally. The ideal individual will have the ability to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations, with strong written and verbal communication, administrative, and organizational skills, and the ability to maintain a realistic balance among multiple priorities. The Assistant will have the ability to work independently on projects, from conception to completion, and must be able to work under pressure at times to handle a wide variety of activities and confidential matters with discretion.

Responsibilities  | Answering incoming calls. Take accurate and detailed messages, ensuring proper communication. Greet and assist individuals who visit the office. Conduct research and community outreach Assist with mailers Arrange files, supplies, and materials for easy accessibility. Responsible for securely shredding outdated and confidential documents. Adhere to document retention policies and maintain confidentiality. Assist with general administrative tasks as assigned. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth office operation
Required Qualifications  | FWS Required Must be 18+ years of age. Completion of all required orientation and training. Must maintain regular attendance. Submit hours once a month. Complete evaluation surveys as requested by staff. Successfully complete an interview for a position with staff member. Good written and oral communication skills Ability to research information and prepare collateral and other correspondence Minimum 8 hours per week for 3 – 6 months. Hours can be scheduled in 4 to 8-hour blocks of time during regular business hours (Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.). Applicants able to schedule the maximum hours/duration listed for this position typically gain a more in-depth experience Lift, bend, sit, walk for extended periods of time. Use a phone and /or computer for extended periods Carry up to 15 lbs
