Job Purpose | The Administrative Coordinator for Graduate Programs in the School of Education will play a key role in supporting the daily operations and administration of seven master’s programs and the inaugural Doctor of Education degree. This individual will be responsible for managing student services, coordinating faculty support, overseeing program logistics, and ensuring compliance with university policies. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced academic environment.
Minimum Requirements | Bachelor’s degree in education, or a related field; master’s degree preferred. Minimum five years of administrative experience in higher education. Strong organizational and communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with student information systems such as Banner, Degree Works, Tableau, and Cognos. Ability to work independently, problem-solve, and maintain confidentiality. Knowledge of graduate education policies and procedures (especially at the doctoral level).

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities | Serve as the primary point of contact for students, faculty, and staff regarding program-related inquiries. Coordinate admissions processes, including application tracking and follow-up, and communicating with prospective and admitted students. Manage student records, enrollment data, and program milestones to ensure timely completion of degree requirements. Support faculty with course scheduling, classroom assignments, and material distribution. Organize meetings, events, and workshops for the doctoral program, including orientations, dissertation defenses, and professional development sessions. Assist with budget tracking, financial transactions, and expense reporting. Ensure compliance with university policies, accreditation standards, and other regulatory requirements. Maintain program documentation, handbooks, and website updates. Provide administrative support for grant applications, research initiatives, and special projects as needed. Handle other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of all SOE graduate programs.
Additional Comments Regarding Position | The candidate must be local and able to work on campus regularly. Certain times during the year, night and weekend work may be required. Flexible work arrangements, including hybrid options, may be supported.
