Position Summary: | The Assistant Director of the Bioethics & Jewish Law Program at RIETS will support the Director in advancing the mission of the program by overseeing key operational, academic, and outreach functions. This includes the development of new curricular initiatives, strategic recruitment efforts, marketing collaboration, and digital presence management.
The Program Administrator will oversee the UTS programming for our undergraduate population – including all additional shiurim, chaburot, speakers etc. He will also act as a Night Seder Rebbe.
Position Responsibilities: | Assistant Director of Bioethics, RIETS
Assist in the development and implementation of new course offerings and program tracks
Recruit students for the certificate and master’s programs through targeted outreach and relationship-building
Maintain and regularly update the program’s website, ensuring accuracy and engagement
Support marketing campaigns, including drafting content and coordinating with university communications
Track alumni engagement and build professional networks for prospective students
Organize events, webinars, and guest lectures in collaboration with faculty and outside experts
Coordinate materials and logistics for courses and program activities
Provide administrative support and data tracking for program assessment and reporting needs

a. Plan programming with Student Life
b. Invite Rebbeim to join for Shabbos
c. Coordinate on-campus Shabbatonim for IBC/JSS

• Oversee Night Seder Staff and Chaburot
o Coordination of Chaburot / Night Seder options, including pairing chavrusas
• Work with mashgichim to produce “Guide to the Yeshiva”
• Facilitate special visits to campus: Israeli Chief Rabbis, Roshei Yeshiva and Rabbanim from other communities (including Sefardic community)
• Publicity
o Management of sign boards in Glueck
o Coordinate fliers for all programming events (w/ Rob Shur)
o Work with Assistant to Dean on writing up summaries from events for YU newsletters/ website/ chavrusa etc
• Regularly lead/teach groups of students in preparation of their Talmud courses
Night Seder Rebbe
• Meet and Orient New Students
• Offer to learn with the students
• Arrange night seder chavrusas
• Coordinate night seder chabura
• Assist with questions in the beis medrash in regard to deciphering texts
• Develop a relationship with students
Experience & Education Background: | The ideal candidate will be proactive, organized, and passionate about the intersection of halacha, bioethics, and professional education.
Semikha, preferably from RIETS
• 3 years of prior teaching experience
• Working with students on the university level
2+ years of managing programming and events
2+ years of administrative experience
2+ years managing staff or students
