| Advertised Job Summary | The Admissions Counselor is responsible for the recruitment and admissions activities for USC Lancaster. This employee counsels and advises prospective students, parents, secondary school counselors, faculty, staff, and other members of the college community regarding the institution, admissions, and matriculation policies and procedures. This employee will also perform the planning, coordinating, operating, and evaluating of assigned recruiting activities to achieve enrollment objectives for the University. |

| Job Related Minimum Required Education and Experience | Requires a bachelor’s degree in a job related field and 1 or more years of job related experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience. |

| Preferred Qualifications | Experience in recruiting, public relations, sales, communications, marketing, or related student involvement experience, such as student ambassador, tour guide, orientation leader, etc. Experience working with CRM software (ex. Salesforce) and with a student information system (ex. Banner). Must be detail oriented and have a concern for data integrity. |
| Knowledge/Skills/Abilities | Must have strong verbal and written communication and organization skills; proven ability to manage multiple complex assignments with sensitivity to deadlines, priorities, and changing circumstances; willingness to travel and availability for evening and weekend work. |
