| Posting Summary | Serve as admissions counselor within the framework of the University’s enrollment targets and consistent with the mission and annual objectives of the admissions office. Oversee a geographic recruitment territory and conduct activities to support the recruitment of academically qualified and diverse students. Conduct large and small group presentations, visit high schools, attend college fairs, and represent the University of Vermont on and off campus. Communicate regularly with prospective students and parents. Review applications and make admissions decisions. |
| Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience) | Bachelor’s degree and one to two years’ admissions experience required. Demonstrated multicultural competency and a commitment to recruit a diverse student population required. Effective communication skill, both oral and written, required. Basic computing skills (word processing, spreadsheet, database, and familiarity with relational student databases) required. Ability to travel outside Vermont required. A valid driver’s license is required. |
