Airport Programs Training Designer

The Opportunity:
Do you want to develop training that will transform federal aviation programs? As an instructional designer, you know that even the best tools and processes can’t have an impact without the right education. Constructing an interactive course that teaches principles of airport operations requires a real passion for understanding the needs of your customer. We have an opportunity for an instructional designer who is committed to solving some of the toughest challenges in the management of our national airspace.
On our team, you’ll work with key stakeholders to capture your customer’s training needs and recommend the right learning solution to help them accomplish their objectives. Putting the learner at the center of the training experience, you’ll design and update training materials.

You’ll use your technical skills, creativity, and experience to design an effective learning experience on screen or in a classroom. You’ll use technologies such as artificial intelligence to shape a successful learning environment. You know communication is key, so you’ll meet with SMEs and stakeholders throughout the process to discuss learning material and incorporate feedback. To ensure your solution is hitting the mark, you’ll collect and analyze results using various evaluation methodologies, then fine-tune the training for maximum impact. We focus on growing as a team to make the best solutions for our customers, so you’ll learn new tools and skills to develop a creative learning experience that will engage students.

You Have:
  • 6+ years of experience developing and delivering training courses
  • Experience maintaining training course materials and training program data in an information management system for tracking and reporting
  • Experience facilitating meetings, including delivering verbal presentations, listening, and interpreting accurately what others are saying
  • Experience efficiently balancing workloads, multi-tasking, and coordinating multiple simultaneous projects
  • Ability to describe information based on target audience
  • Ability to prepare and deliver presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree

Nice If You Have:
  • Experience supporting federal clients
  • Ability to write, edit, and format complex documents using Microsoft Word
  • Ability to communicate federal environmental laws and requirements
  • Ability to interpret agency policies and procedures
  • Ability to translate National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) policy and documentation requirements into learning objectives

The projected compensation range for this position is $53,000.00 to $108,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
