Job Summary
Working under the direction of the Manager or Senior Team Lead, will be responsible for contributing to the marketing and sales of MathWorks’ engineering products for small self-contained projects; assisting on customer technical engineering presentations regarding the use of engineering software products to support the sales process; using existing software product models and simulations to demonstrate the use of MathWorks’ MATLAB and Simulink products for engineering, control design, system modeling and non-complex customer opportunities; assisting senior team members in engagements with prospective and existing customers to understand their workflow and identifying relevant MathWorks engineering solutions; and developing customer scripts to demonstrate how MathWorks engineering software addresses customer needs. Requires domestic/international travel based on company/client need (approximately 20%).

Minimum Qualifications:

Education and Experience:
Master’s degree in Engineering or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and no experience.

OR

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and three (3) years of experience as an Application Engineer (or related occupation) teaching or technical support of model-based design and control systems.

Special Requirements:
  • Demonstrated expertise performing real-time modeling and simulation of physical system and control system design using MATLAB and Simulink.
  • Demonstrated expertise guiding and teaching engineers or engineering students to model and analyze a physical engineering system using MATLAB simulation software.
  • Demonstrated expertise developing and delivering technical demonstrations on the use of mathematical simulation technologies in control system design, simulation of physical systems, or machine learning algorithm development.
  • Demonstrated expertise developing presentations and technical reports in the topic of engineering and model-based design for scientific review, and presenting work at conferences and technical workshops.

Salary range: $120,700.00 to $140,000.00. Individual compensation is determined by candidate’s skills, experience, and qualifications.
