We're looking for a Director of Assessment and Intervention (A&I) Adoption Strategy to join our team and play a pivotal role in shaping how our cutting-edge assessment and intervention solutions reach educators and students nationwide.
In this role, you'll be the expert on K-12 assessment trends, directly influencing our sales approach, product development, and ongoing refinement. You'll work hand-in-hand initially with our California sales team, guiding them through every stage of the sales cycle—from initial prospecting and discovery to powerful presentations, demonstrations, and pilot support. You'll also champion product support and training for the sales team, collaborating closely with product development and marketing to significantly expand our Literacy Assessment and Intervention business.
Essential Responsibilities:
Drive Revenue Growth:
- Lead the charge in California, growing revenue, focusing on securing new sales, retaining and expanding existing accounts, and identifying cross-sell and upsell opportunities with other Amplify products.
- Be deeply committed to understanding our customers—what makes them successful, what drives positive classroom outcomes, and why our products win (or sometimes lose) in the market.
- Aid cross-sell and upsell efforts (e.g., recommend customers/targets that would be good Intervention prospects
Develop Sales and Marketing Strategies:
- Partner with Sales and Product Marketing to craft compelling campaigns, strategic initiatives, and promotions that acquire new business and boost renewals.
- Influence Product and Sales Strategy:
- Collaborate with Sales Leadership on strategic development and consult with internal stakeholders to influence program development, enhancements, and marketing strategies.
Optimize Sales Enablement:
- Provide critical content and resources to the sales team, respond to their ongoing questions, and offer direct support through "ride-alongs" in the field as needed.
- Develop materials for regional and national sales meetings and support presentations at these events.
Lead Presentations and Training:
- Conduct impactful demos and webinars for strategic accounts and key initiatives.
- Mentor and train sales presenters to showcase our Intervention and Assessment products effectively.
- Conduct Competitive Analysis:
- Perform in-depth competitive analysis on competitor products, sharing actionable findings and recommendations to inform our strategy.
Support Marketing & Proposals:
- Assist Marketing in developing compelling collateral and support materials for assessment and intervention products.
- Contribute to cross-domain positioning (e.g., assessment across math and literacy)
- Work with Bids and Proposals on contributing to the RFP responses for final review
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 10-12 years of K-12 education and sales experience
- 3+ years in a leadership role
- Proven track record of successfully launching and scaling projects
- Excellence in strategic thinking and problem-solving
- Excellent written and verbal skills
- Ability to travel 50% of the time
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA or advanced degree
- Leadership experience in a district, school, or charter network
- Ability to think strategically, troubleshoot and self-manage
- A highly motivated individual who can effectively work within a fast-paced, urgent environment
- Ability to be agile and switch directions quickly and efficiently
What we offer:
Salary is only one component of the Amplify Total Rewards package, which includes a 401(k) plan, competitive health insurance and mental health options, basic life insurance, paid time off, parental leave, and access to best-in-class development programs. The gross salary range for this role is $140,000.00 - $150,000.00. This role is eligible to earn an annual discretionary bonus that rewards individual and company performance.
