Advertised Job Summary | Assessment Coordinator (Program Assistant), Minimum Salary: $37,735 per year, USCA School of Education
Under general supervision, the Assessment Coordinator provides administrative support to the School of Education by maintaining accurate data systems, coordinating communication and records for field placements and assessments, and supporting compliance with accreditation requirements. This position ensures that essential clerical and data-related functions are performed efficiently to support licensure and field-based learning activities. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Must be able to work within both a Mac and PC platform and manage internally networked computer systems. Must be a self-starter and have the ability to work without supervision. Must demonstrate strong time management skills by meeting work schedules and fulfilling job responsibilities and commitments. Must have excellent communication skills and show an aptitude to solve problems with an approach that puts customer service first. Must be able to communicate effectively with multiple people during high volume periods. Requires knowledge of computer data management systems including Microsoft Office. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in a job related field and no prior work experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience. Job Duty | Field Experience: The Assessment Coordinator assists the Field Experience Coordinator with data collection and documentation related to student internship placements, certification records, and partnership agreements. This includes maintaining files, updating contact records for cooperating teachers, and submitting documentation required for certification credit. The coordinator also monitors the Field Experience inbox and phone line daily and supports monthly administrative tasks associated with internship processes. The coordinator helps facilitate student information sessions throughout the semester.

Job Duty | Accreditation/Assessment: In collaboration with program coordinators and under the direction of the Dean or delegate, the Assessment Coordinator supports accreditation and assessment functions. This includes organizing and tracking data used in state and federal reports, preparing basic statistical summaries, and helping ensure required records are complete and updated. The role includes data entry into the HelioCampus assessment system and the organization of files and documentation related to CAEP, Title II, SPA, ADEPT, CHE, and institutional assessments.

Job Duty | Office Management: Responsibilities include serving as a secondary point of contact for the School of Education’s main phone line, email account, and walk-in traffic. The coordinator is the primary contact for communication related to field experience, Praxis testing, and teaching certification. Additional responsibilities include maintaining student files, ordering office supplies, and ensuring general office organization and cleanliness.
