The Assistant Director of Graduate Admissions plays a pivotal role in driving graduate enrollment by promoting the university’s graduate programs to top-tier applicants. This role provides graduate admissions data and proactive application management and participates in off-campus recruitment efforts. In collaboration with campus partners, this role executes innovative recruitment strategies to attract academically talented and diverse graduate students across a range of programs, engaging with prospective students from initial inquiry through enrollment. Representing the University of Vermont (UVM), this position interacts with constituents both on and off campus to advance institutional enrollment goals.
Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
Bachelor’s degree. Demonstrated multicultural competency and a commitment to recruit a diverse student population. Effective communication skills, both oral and written. Basic computing skills (word processing, spreadsheet, database, and familiarity with relational student databases).
Desirable Qualifications
Anticipated Pay Range $53,000-$55,000
Other Information
Ability to travel outside Vermont including internationally, required.
Special Conditions A probationary period may be required, Occasional evening and/or weekends required (if non-exempt position, may result in overtime), This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule with an option to split time between campus and elsewhere, in accordance with the university telecommuting policy, Background Check required for this position
