Rate of Pay/Benefits:
 | This is a Full-Time Administrative position at grade 18, with an annual salary range of $98,848 to $131,397. Job Summary:
 | An employee in this postion supports the Dean in managing the academic division by providing leadership and guidance to faculty and academic programs. This role ensures instructional excellence through faculty evaluation, professional development, budget planning, and data-driven assessment practices. The Associate Dean may act on behalf of the Dean in their absence or serve as a delegate for specific tasks, exercising the rights and responsibilities as assigned by the college and/or Dean.  General direction is received by the Dean.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
 | Master’s degree in a discipline within the division (e.g., Mathematics, Science, Engineering).Minimum of two years of administrative experience in a college setting, preferably in a community college.At least two years of teaching experience in higher education within an academic discipline represented in the divisionDemonstrated commitment to creating an equitable and inclusive working and learning environment.Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.Proven ability to collaborate effectively in a diverse academic setting and foster teamwork among faculty, staff, and administrators.In-depth knowledge of instructional best practices, curriculum design, articulation, and accreditation standards.Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.Experience in budget management and resource allocation.

 Desired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
 | Doctoral degree.Experience in grant writing.

 Essential Duties:
 | Assist the Dean in coordinating course and program assessment processes. Support faculty with documentation, data collection, and resource access. Ensure accountability and high-quality assessments.Conduct instructor evaluations per collective bargaining agreements, including observations, discussions, and development of professional growth plans.Support divisional planning and budget preparation efforts.Assist with class scheduling, monitor enrollments, and recommend adjustments to ensure student access and contract compliance.Analyze division data (e.g., student success metrics, enrollment trends) to identify opportunities for improvement. Facilitate data sharing and discussions with stakeholders.Provide guidance to instructional coordinators to ensure completion of course assessments and program reviews.Assist in resolving personnel and student concerns, ensuring compliance with contracts and procedures.Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the Dean.
