Business Analyst for Advising Full Description

Join Purdue University Fort Wayne:
We seek a full-time, on-site Business Analyst Advising Systems in our Student Information Systems department. This position will support and guide the use of advising CRM and student success technologies across campus. The salary for this position is $54,900.00 annually.
 
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Support and guide the use of advising CRM, Navigate, and student success technologies across campus. 
  • Assist departments choose and improve tools and support student engagement, retention, and services. 
  • Ensure systems are used effectively by providing leadership, training, and technical support to staff and faculty.
  • Participate in requirement planning and feasibility determination. 
  • Communicate with PFW end users, vendors, and Purdue IT.
  • Create and maintain training documentation for academic advising staff. 
  • Train new advisors on PFW portal and navigate advising software and best practices.
  • Participate in monthly DAAC meetings with lead advisors.
  • Research, test and implement process improvements within current advising systems. 
  • Assist in testing upgrades for all degree audits systems.
  • Other duties as assigned.
 
Required Qualifications:
  • BA/BS degree in Information Technology Field.
  • 3 years in administering, advising CRM and other technology supporting student success.
  • Significant Banner or similar enterprise management system experience.
  • Experience managing student data.
  • Knowledge of supporting advising through use of student success software.
  • Ability to administer complex software.
  • Skilled Banner administrator with ability to understand data structure and how data flows between systems.
  • Knowledge of the organizational structure and ability to work across multiple units.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively.
  • Ability to troubleshoot problems and make recommendations for change.
