Job Summary
The Director of Adult Education provides overall leadership, management, and supervision of all personnel, programming, operations, and curriculum planning for adult education programming across OCTC adult education sites and services. Primary services include GED-preparation, English proficiency, workforce preparation, and college/career transitions. In addition, the director establishes and develops external partnerships for increased adult education programming in collaboration within businesses and organizations. Position is grant funded and continuation is contingent upon future funding.

Job Duties:
• Provide administrative leadership for OCTC's adult education programming, including personnel management, budget/grant management and reporting, program delivery, and related program resources to meet funder-driven program goals.
• Ensure adherence to all KCTCS and funding agencies' operational and administrative requirements including accurate and timely budgetary reporting and data management.
• Provide direction and oversight for student recruitment and retention activities across all programming.
• Develop partnerships and programs to meet student needs including researching and securing additional external funding to ensure program growth and sustainability, serving as the program liaison to promote the college's adult education services to the community at large, and collaborating with other agencies and service organizations for recruitment purposes and to leverage resources.
• Manage and develop staff.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Master’s degree in Education, Administration, Counseling, Student Services, Academic Leadership, or related field is required.
• Three (3) years of relevant work experience required.
• Three (3) years of Project Management required.
• Two (2) years of supervisory experience is required.

Preferred Qualifications:
• PhD degree in Education, Administration, Counseling, Student Services, Academic Leadership is preferred.
• Five (5) years of relevant work experience is preferred.
• Four (4) years of supervisory experience is preferred.
• Experience working with under-skilled or at-risk youth or adult populations.
