Job Description  | This position is responsible for developing and implementing marketing and communication plans for Career Services. In addition to creating general and event specific campaigns, the position will also develop and publish various print and digital media, and oversee management of the department’s web presence. Staff in this role will assist in tracking participation, satisfaction, and learning outcomes of the department’s various programs and services to better inform outreach strategies designed to improve usage rates.

Job Duties 
Create and oversee an overall marketing strategy for the department with thoughtful design to increase visibility of programs, events, and services of the career center with specific attention to increasing engagement of student groups who traditionally have lower usage and engagement. Periodically review and evaluate marketing strategy for effectiveness. Oversee, manage, and update department’s website. Coordinate content creation, design, production, and dissemination of career center publications, including multi-page booklets, flyers, print and digital advertisements, news releases, email campaigns, and large-format signage designed to promote awareness of and engagement with the department’s programs, events, and services. In conjunction with college career liaisons, regularly develop email and/or newsletter content designed to inform and engage students with upcoming career center programs, events, and core services. Coordinate promotional events that help the career center engage in the campus community. Review and edit all department print and online content for consistency, accuracy, and ease of use. Ensure content and design reflects accessibility guidelines and branding guidelines of the university and department. Lead a marketing committee with representation from the various career center units; present new designs and campaigns before the committee and gather feedback before implementation.
