Job Summary
This role is accountable to design, develop, deliver and maintain basic and advanced skills training supporting orientation and ongoing training needs for all levels of clinical and non-clinical staff of the clinical operations organization. This individual contributor is accountable to ensure that all clinical training offered to staff meets regulatory, accreditation (URAC) and contractual requirements for topic, content delivery and documentation. In addition, this position requires designing, developing and presenting synchronous training courses relating to clinical and operational topics, and includes content, visual aides, exercises for the student and examinations. This position will also develop and implement a comprehensive plan for meeting the continuing educational needs of employees, in order to enhance, promote, and maintain high standards in professional growth and quality health care delivery.

Education & Experience

Required:
• Registered Nurse, with current unrestricted license in appropriate state 
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing, education, health care or other related field 
• Minimum of three years clinical experience with a Managed Care Organization (MCO) or healthcare system, specifically clinical programs such as Population Health, Chronic Disease or Case Management 
• Minimum of two years training experience in a corporate, professional, healthcare or academic setting 
• Expert proficiency using Microsoft Office suite of program, specifically WORD, PPT and VISIO 
• Proficiency in working and teaching the use of technology – specifically care management tools and platforms 
• U.S. Citizenship 
• Must be able to receive a favorable Interim and adjudicated final Department of Defense (DoD) background investigation


Preferred:


• Master's Degree in Nursing, Education or related field 
• Experience with URAC, NCQA or other accreditation bodies supporting the educational needs tied to accreditation and regulatory requirements

Key Responsibilities
• Analyze training needs, design, develop the course (content, visual aides, exercises, and tests), maintain the course in a way that other clinical leaders can present it, and teach the course. 
• Design training and educational content/course delivery that can be done in a synchronous and asynchronous settings, and in one on one coaching sessions to support both remote and onsite operational models. 
• Assist with training department-specific needs, such as, maintaining required training documentation, maintaining both clinical and non-clinical training and orientation curriculum, participating in clinical operations leadership meetings, process improvement meetings, and other duties as appropriate and requested.
• Participate in the development of training requirements that meet regulatory, contractual and organizational goals including, but not limited to, needs and skills assessments, continuing educational opportunities, professional development, and other duties as appropriate and requested. 
• Support the development of beneficiary educational content, tools and materials. 
• Provide employees and their leadership team with performance feedback, assist with identification of educational and performance needs of staff and conduct follow-up training as needed and requested. 
• Plan formal and informal learning activities, including synchronous classes, in-services, workshops, symposiums, refresher courses, when appropriate or requested. 
• Enhance self-development and training skills on an ongoing basis by maintaining current knowledge in the fields of nursing and adult education, to include learning theory, motivation theory, and new approaches to teaching.
