SALARY:
 
$23.25 - $27.50 per hour. The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to skill, knowledge, experience, education, and credentials.

Primary Purpose: 
The Data Coordinator for Clinical Career Advising will directly support the Clinical Career Advising team in collecting, organizing, tracking and ensuring the integrity of student outcomes data and student performance records, particularly regarding MSPE facilitation and career advising match risk assessment tracking through GME placement rates, to support educational research and data collection for the department and university. This position is integral to provide data and administrative support to the Clinical Career Advising team to track student's residency application progress and prepare and upload required documents timely to aid in achieving or exceeding student outcome measures for RVUCOM, while also ensuring continuous quality improvement of career advising services provided. 

Essential Job Functions: 
1. Collaborate with appropriate individuals to acquire and ensure the integrity of data necessary for utilization by the Clinical Career Advising team, department and university.
2. Analyze and update data frequently, including displaying data through graphics and charts, to ensure the effectiveness of career advising services and identifying trends in project and student outcomes.
3. Help maintain records of advising activities and communications, student engagement and the impact of career advising services on student outcomes. This includes assisting with surveys and building reports.
4. Assist with the logistics of career advising activities, including scheduling meetings, events, and general administration to ensure the advising process runs effectively. This includes assistance with agenda setting, taking career advising team meeting minutes and publishing them for dissemination to the proper attendees in a timely manner and tracking follow up of action items.
5. Provide career advising data collection and support using various platforms to monitor and track student milestones for the duration of the residency application process throughout placement outcomes and assist with post-match data analysis.
6. Pull and reformat data accurately into templates, documents and other areas as requested.
7. Proofread documents for spelling and grammatical errors.
8. Upload MSPEs to appropriate residency application platforms to meet deadlines and organize completed MSPEs to add to the permanent student record.
9. Assist the Clinical Career Advising team in preparation for and throughout the duration of NRMP Match/SOAP week, especially regarding data collection and administrative support.
10. Work cooperatively with others to facilitate achievement of excellent student outcomes.
11. Actively participate in required meetings.
12. Performs other duties as assigned by the Dean or his/her designee. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Minimum Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution or equivalent
  • Proficient in using analytical tools and instrumentals for instance, Adobe Pro, Microsoft Office: Excel, Outlook, Word, Access, etc.
  • Strong knowledge of computer hardware and software; ability to learn a new software and database systems
 
Preferred Qualifications: 
  • Master's Degree Background in statistics, mathematics, and/or biostatistics
  • 1 year experience providing data support at a medical school or residency program
