Job Summary
The Institutional Data Analytics & Assessment (IDA+A) office is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Data Governance Analyst to join our data governance team.  This role will play a crucial part in managing data policies, processes, and documentation, working closely with various stakeholders to ensure the integrity and quality of our data assets.  The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, excellent communication skills, and a knack for meticulous documentation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Management:  Assist in the planning, execution, and tracking of data governance projects.  Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project milestones are met and deliverables are achieved.
  • Metadata Management:  Write and review metadata in collaboration with stakeholders.  Ensure metadata standards are adhered to and facilitate the approval process.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:  Work wth end users to garner buy-in for new software and data governance initiatives.  Conduct training sessions and provide support to ensure smooth adoption of new tools and processes.
  • Process Documentation:  Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for data governance processes.  Ensure all procedures are clearly outlined and accessible to relevant stakeholders.
  • Data Quality and Compliance:  Monitor and audit data systems to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal and external regulations.  In collaboration with data owners, enhance data accuracy, consistency, and reliability critical for informed decision-making and operational efficiency.
  • Training and Education:  Provide training and guidance on data governance policies and procedures to team members and stakeholders.  Promote best practices and ensure consistent application across the organization.
