Job Summary  | The College of Arts and Sciences is seeking a Department Academic Administration Sr to support academic needs in the Department of Chemistry.

This individual will:  manage the daily workflow and operations of the department to provide high-level staff support for department leadership  work with the Department Chair and Administrative Staff Officer III to ensure the department runs efficiently and effectively  serve as a resource for faculty, staff, students, visitors, and donors  facilitate workflow between the department and the centralized units within the College  supervise the Department Manager Associate  mentor and manage work assignments to ensure deadlines are met  maintain a high level of customer satisfaction  oversee planning for all events in the department 
Successful candidates must possess a broad understanding of an academic setting, be able to effectively communicate among various personalities and situations, and be a team player with a strong ability to multi-task and collaborate in a fast-paced environment.

The Department Academic Administration Sr will be expected to collaborate effectively and frequently with centralized College units, including the Dean’s Office, Business Center, Space and Facilities, CaTS, Enrollment Management, Philanthropy, and Advising, along with units across campus and external to the University. This individual will serve as an advocate for the departments and faculty, and an active member of a team of Department Manager colleagues and College staff.
