Job Related Minimum Required Education and Experience | Requires a bachelor’s degree in a job related field and 1 or more years of job related experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience.

Preferred Qualifications | Experience with PeopleAdmin Talent Management System and Human Resources, training in preparing tenure and promotion files, and demonstration of strong interpersonal skills including excellent oral and written skills.

Ability to analyze and present ideas in a clear and concise manner, both orally and in writing. Strong team player skills and the ability to work harmoniously with a diverse workforce. Good organizational, time management, customer service and problem solving skills, and the ability to work accurately and meet deadlines with frequent interruptions. Manage and coordinate human resources actions for all faculty (FTE tenure-track/tenured, FTE professional track, temporary/adjuncts, and research grant), staff (classified, temporary, time-limited, and research grant), and undergraduate students. Initiates HR actions in the HCM Peoplesoft system to include, but not limited to, job changes, additional pays, additional assignments, status changes, account changes, reappointments, separations/terminations, etc. Request and coordinate all faculty, staff, and undergraduate student hiring. Serve as back-up for Graduate student hiring. Submit actions in People Admin to include, but not limited to, creating, updating, and/or reviewing position descriptions; creating and submitting job ads/postings to the College for approval; creating and submitting hiring proposals to the College for approval. Work with FTE faculty in the department to coordinate and process Summer ECOM actions. Review all HR documents prior to Department Chair approval. Will work with the Office of International Scholars on actions associated with international faculty members or research scholars.

Percentage of Time | 35Job Duty | Serves as the Human Resources contact and TL/ABS Approver for the department. Ensures EEO policies and procedures are followed. Provides assistance and guidance to the Department of Psychology faculty, staff, graduate and undergraduate students related to all human capital management to ensure compliance with federal, state, and University policies and procedures. Keeps faculty and staff apprised of policy and procedure updates and Salary Administration guideline changes. Maintain personnel files for the department which include hard copy for ease of retrieval and generating reports for the Business Manager and Chair of the department as requested. Compile faculty data for merit raises or other faculty reviews as needed.

This includes, but is not limited to, submitting position request forms, submission of job advertisement for Dean’s approval and placement on online and/or print venues; preparing and coordinating interview schedules; receiving applications, sending EEO forms to applicants and ensuring the information is available for search committee review; preparing receipt and rejection correspondence to applicants; and ensuring all application materials are posted on Blackboard. Will receive administrative support from the Assistant to the Chair in performing these duties.
