 SUMMARY:
 Responsible to provide support of all HR duties and responsibilities for all South University Administration and campus locations. Incumbent must assure that the South University guiding principles are adhered to in carrying out the duties and responsibilities of this position. These include having a focused and disciplined approach with an eye toward compliance with HR policies, regulations, laws, Talent Acquisition and other South University procedures, driving for results, delivering excellent customer service, emphasizing communication, recognition, teamwork and collaboration, seeking ways to support and develop standardized processes and common procedures, and an unwavering attention to growth and development in self and internal clients.
 
 KEY JOB ELEMENTS:
 1. Initiate requisitions for new positions in the Applicant Tracking System. Assist with recruitment, postings and hiring.
 
 2. Support the HR Business Partners and Senior Director, Talent Acquisition with hiring process for all campus locations. This may include managing some requisitions including interviewing candidates.
 
 3. May assist with the recruitment of candidates to fill vacancies. This includes posting job requisitions, processing incoming resumes and applications of various formats, prescreening, scheduling interviews, I-9 process, background process and extending offers of employment to candidates.
 
 4. Coordinate virtual job fairs via of our platforms. This will include participation to assist with interviewing candidates.
 
 5. Assist with the talent management initiatives, to include the areas of on-boarding, orientation, training, performance review and succession/leadership planning.
 
 6. Assist with special events and/or projects such as training programs, annual benefits enrollment, employee recognition, service awards, etc. as needed.
 
 7. Initiate User Account Requests for technology-based accesses for campuses as needed
 
 8. Other duties as assigned.
 
 JOB REQUIREMENTS:
 • Bachelors’ degree in Human Resources/Industrial Relations or similar required.
 • A minimum of three years of previous experience in Human Resources or related field preferably in a post-secondary education environment or other field with large employee base and strong external customer service requirements (e.g., health care, retail, financial or mortgage services, etc.).
 • One-year experience in recruiting required.
 • Extensive experience with Excel spreadsheets is required.
 • Visio experience is a plus.
 • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage projects.
 • Must have strong customer service skills.
 • Solid written and verbal communication skills.
 • Strong Interpersonal skills with both faculty and staff populations.
 • Superior organization, prioritization and self-motivation skills.
 • Strong computer literacy skills with the MS Office suite as well as HRIS database applications helpful, although not required.
