Director, Academic Clinical Affairs Full Description

Position Summary:
Oversee the operations of the Office of Academic Clinical Affairs and collaborate with senior leadership to assess and address the adjunct faculty teaching needs for both undergraduate and graduate programs. Responsibilities include recruiting adjunct faculty and assigning them to clinical placements, both on- and off-campus. Ensure student placements comply with the regulatory and accreditation standards set by the university and relevant health authorities, including managing the necessary certifications, background checks, immunizations, and other compliance requirements. Manage risk assessments and liability insurance and address any health or safety issues that may arise in clinical settings, and manage and execute contract agreements through negotiations with NYU's General Legal Counsel, Risk Management, and collaborating healthcare agencies or academic institutions.

Qualifications:
Required Education:
Master's Degree in Nursing.

Required Experience:
5+ years of supervision experience; experience organizing heavy work flow in a complex environment to meet deadlines. or equivalent combination of education/experience.

Preferred Experience:
7+ years Experience in nursing administration, staff education, or academic teaching.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Good analytical, statistical and writing skills. Ability to interact with a diverse student, faculty and agency population. Knowledge of standard office software and website interfaces.

Additional Information:
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $122,000.00 to USD $162,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
