Job Description
The Learning Experience Director leads a team of Designers and a Facilitator, as well as contributing to the design, development and delivery of engaging learning experiences for the Global Product and Value Added Solutions audiences.  

In this position, you will leverage your instructional design and facilitation expertise to rapidly create engaging, scalable, and measurable learning solutions that drive business outcomes and enhance workforce capabilities. You are proficient in eLearning authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Rise, Adobe Captivate, and Synthesia, with deep experience designing for multiple platforms and modalities. You possess expertise in generative AI (GenAI), enabling you to incorporate AI powered content creation, adaptive learning pathways, and conversational AI into the learner journey. Your innovative approach and focus on speed to market will ensure timely delivery of impactful solutions that directly enhance learner engagement and organizational performance, supporting our commitment to continuous learning and accelerated business growth. 

This role will closely collaborate with the Learning Facilitation and Delivery Center of Excellences (COEs) driving design standard, development, and delivery best practices and guidelines. You will collaborate and build strong working relationships with all functions in Visa University, Talent and the business to ensure end to end alignment from concept to delivery. 

The role will report to the Sr. Director/Global Head of Product and Value Added Solutions Learning at Visa University.  

Essential Functions
  • Lead learning designers and facilitators in the “how” they accomplish their work 
  • How they establish and build key relationships 
  • How they design, develop, and deliver learning experiences end to end 
  • Driving efficiency to ensure speed to ‘market’ 
  • Providing coaching and feedback to strengthen their capabilities and performance 
  • Establish new resources and standards for how designers design, develop, and deliver exceptional learning experiences based on learning experience strategy and priorities 
  • Establish performance metrics and evaluation procedures to deliver impact in the role 
  • Partner with learning partners and program manager/analysts on upcoming roadmaps/projects engaging in discovery, design, delivery, capacity planning and resourcing 
  • Work with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) across Visa to understand the learning needs and build effective solutions that leverage the latest in technology and learner centric principles 
  • Design and develop innovative, effective and highly scalable, global, 3Es (Experience, Exposure and Education) learning solutions, using modern tools, platforms and methods to meet business objectives and drive impact 
  • Demonstrate proficiency in multiple learning modalities, including virtual/instructor led training, collaborative/social and on demand, to support our global audience 
  • Engage with and manage vendors as needed to scale and augment team capacity 
  • Partner with program management and learning experience enablement teams to ensure learning products can be easily implemented and get to market in a timely fashion 
  • Manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while ensuring delivery of best in class experiences 
  • Stay on top of developments in the industry and identify new and innovative learning technologies and approaches to take our products and experiences to the next level 

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager. 

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
  • 10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications
  • 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD
  • 7 or more years of management experience, including leading and developing high-performing teams responsible for designing and facilitating learning solutions in a corporate environment.
  • Proven success in setting strategic direction, driving innovation, and leading organizational change to enhance the effectiveness, scalability, and efficiency of learning programs.
  • Expertise in leveraging data and analytics to assess learning effectiveness, inform decisions, and communicate program impact.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive operational efficiency and accelerate speed to market for learning solutions, ensuring rapid, high quality delivery that meets evolving business needs.
  • Proven expertise leveraging generative AI and other emerging technologies to accelerate content creation, optimize design workflows, and deliver cutting-edge learning solutions.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills, including consulting and collaborating with HR, Talent, business leaders, and subject matter experts to align learning strategies with organizational goals.

Additional Information
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.
