| Description: The College of Medicine seeks a mission-driven Director of Outreach and Pathways to lead the design, coordination, and evaluation of comprehensive outreach efforts and pathway initiatives. This position is critical in advancing the COM's commitment to educational access, health equity, and student success by developing strong partnerships with K-12 schools, post-secondary institutions, and community-based organizations. 

The ideal candidate will bring proven experience in partnership-building, program management, and student-centered pathway development. 

1. Oversees, coordinates, and evaluates outreach activities and pathway programs to ensure strategic effectiveness. 
2. Collaborates with the Associate Dean of Admissions and Outreach to develop and strengthen partnerships with K-12 and post-secondary institutions. 
3. Serves as the COM JAMP Director, representing the College at JAMP-related events and managing all JAMP-related activities within the Office of Admissions and Outreach. 
4. Organizes and coordinates COM-sponsored events aimed at fostering collaborations with educational and community-based organizations. 
5. Stays informed of developments in the professional landscape through associations, webinars, conferences, and publications; participates in relevant professional development opportunities. 
6. Assists in planning and executing engagement activities in partnership with the UH Honors College for HMed (HonorsMed) students. 
7. Coordinates with Marketing and Communications to develop digital and print materials, updates the website, and disseminates information about events and programs. 
8. Supports the development of annual goals, objectives, and evaluation strategies to improve outreach program effectiveness and operational efficiency. 
9. Prepares reports on program outcomes to inform quality improvement, strategic planning, and compliance efforts. 
10. Supervises support staff, overseeing their work, providing training, conducting evaluations, and ensuring alignment with policies and regulations. 
11. Manages the Office of Admissions and Outreach budget, ensuring proper allocation and financial oversight. 
12. Utilizes technology and data management systems to monitor program performance, anticipates issues, and resolves inquiries or conflicts effectively. 
13. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. 

MQ: Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline. Knowledge of the discipline is normally obtained through a formal, directly job-related 4 year degree from a college or university or an equivalent in-depth specialized training program that is directly related to the type of work being performed. Requires a minimum of five (5) years of directly job-related experience. Preferred: Experience in academic medicine.
