About You
You bring structure and reliability to the complexities of global payroll. You’re detail-oriented and catch issues before they become problems, keeping payroll accurate across dozens of countries and providers. You enjoy creating clear, scalable processes, even when regulations and systems are constantly evolving. You collaborate easily with People, Accounting, and external partners to make sure payments, filings, audits, and reporting run smoothly. You take full ownership of your work, stay calm under pressure, and take pride in delivering accurate, compliant payroll that the entire team can rely on.

What you'll do
  • Own and process payroll and payments end-to-end for team members in 65+ countries.
  • Manage the relationship with external payroll and EOR vendors, including reviewing and approving invoices.
  • Develop and implement processes and procedures to enhance and streamline payroll-related workflows.
  • Partner with Accounting on payroll funding and forecasting for all legal entities, both inside and outside of the US.
  • Support our evolution as a global employer, contributing to international entity planning and team member mobility as needed.
  • Responsible for monthly payroll tax filing and payments for various countries.
  • Ensure compliance with all compensation and tax regulations.
  • Responsible for data integration between HRIS and any external payroll systems.
  • Conduct regular audits on payroll procedures and records and correct discrepancies.
  • Report to leadership on payroll issues and changes.
  • Prepare ad hoc reports as needed.
  • Remain current and serve as an advisor regarding our operating countries' pay legislation, payroll tax laws, and regulations.
  • Support with year-end tasks for all legal entities conducting payroll.
  • Manage multiple pay processes concurrently with flexibility and accuracy.
  • Provide timely and accurate responses to team members’ payroll-related queries.
  • Review and approve expense reports and reimbursements.
  • Support internal and external payroll audit requests.
  • Verify and audit data processed by external payroll providers.
  • Partner with People Ops to understand and apply leave policies across various countries.
  • Assist as needed with month-end closing queries as they relate to the payrolls.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

Preferred Skills
  • 3+ years payroll management experience, preferably with existing global payroll exposure or knowledge.
  • Knowledge of evolving pay regulations across many countries and jurisdictions globally.
  • Comfortable managing sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Excellent general computing skills, and experience with cloud-based tools including Google Workspace, Slack, Notion.
  • Highly Proficient with Google Sheets (formulas, pivot tables, xlookup, etc.).
  • Experience working with Rippling (HRIS) strongly preferred.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and a strong communicator.
