You will be responsible for helping students with daily activities, offering moral support, and delivering tailored instruction based on their Individualized Education Plan (IEP).

In-Person Tutoring in Ontario, CA
Schedule: 16 hours, 4 sessions a week for 1.5 hours
Pay range is between $25 and $35

Ideal Candidate:

Experience working with high school students with Autism or other learning differences.
Skilled in executive functioning support, reading comprehension, writing, and high schoolâlevel Algebra.
Patient, structured, and flexible, able to adapt lessons to the studentâs learning style.
Strong organizational skills and experience creating individualized learning plans.
Encouraging, engaging, and capable of building confidence while maintaining academic rigor.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide structured instruction in English, including guided reading, comprehension strategies, organizing written responses, and supporting the use of text evidence.
Strengthen writing skills, including expanding answers, constructing clear explanations, and organizing ideas coherently.
Support Algebra instruction, helping the student understand core concepts, break down multi-step problems, and progress from concrete examples to abstract equations.
Model problem-solving strategies aloud and guide the student through reasoning before finalizing answers.
