 | Description: Plans, estimates, organizes and monitors activities of the Historically Underutilized Business (HUB) program. 1. Facilitates meetings with Primary Contractors and prospective HUB subcontractors to discuss possible business partnerships. 2. Reviews online HUB Vendor Registration for those vendors who are interested in doing business with the University of Houston. 3. Coordinates the solicitation of new construction vendors as well as attends solicitation interviews and serves on Evaluation Committees. 4. Oversees all major construction projects to ensure HUB objectives and compliance are met. 5. Attends all construction related pre-proposal meetings. 6. Advises others on preferred tools, techniques and methods for coordinating in-reach efforts. 7. Collaborates on developing techniques for evaluating HUB program activities. 8. Recommends revisions as needed for the HUB program. 9. Conducts regular and ad-hoc program reviews with team and clients. 10. Serves as the point of contact/liaison between the project manager and prime. 11. Reviews monthly HUB departmental reports for the purpose of analyzing HUB utilization data, in order to maximize HUB participation internally. 12. Oversees the Mentor/Prot program and makes revisions as needed. 13. Serves as backup for all State reporting. 14. Performs other job-related duties as required. MQ: Education: Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one professional discipline. Knowledge of the discipline is normally obtained through a formal, directly job-related 4 year degree from a college or university or an equivalent in-depth specialized training program that is directly related to the type of work being performed. Experience: Requires three (3) years of experience in supplier diversity. Relevant Experience: Must have direct experience in supplier diversity.
