Position Overview  | This position is responsible for providing day-to-day operations support to team members throughout the planning, implementation and delivery of programs, and may serve as first point of contact for the unit.

Duties may include: Serving as primary contact with program participants, customer service and office support functions Facilitating communicating between program participants and managerial staff Coordinating arrangements for the program such as meetings, conferences and banquets Collecting, compiling and summarizing program data and managing records Maintaining program calendars and schedules May utilize University programs to create, review and approval financial documents, and to provide routine financial reports to the program administrator Other duties as assigned

Required Experience  | Three years performing administrative, office and/or program support functions
Required Education  | High School Diploma or equivalent
Required Other  | Ability to work nonstandard hours to conduct and attend evening and weekend programs, activities and meetings as needed Ability to travel to other work sites
Additional Preferred  | Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Youth Development, or a closely related field, or four years’ experience as a youth development professional Experience with the 4-H Youth Development program or other youth development programs Experience developing, presenting, and implementing programs, classes, trainings or workshops Experience working in a collaborative environment to accomplish shared goals Experience with program marketing and promotion Experience with fundraising Experience organizing and managing the work of volunteers Experience with livestock and/or horse educational programming Strong customer service skills Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write concise reports and effectively speak to youth and adult audiences Experience composing, proofing and editing a variety of documents, using proper grammar and punctuation as demonstrated in application materials Experience using computer software and applications for word processing, developing spreadsheets, email and internet research Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor settings
