Highlights

  • Manage talent acquisition, recruitment, interviewing, and hiring processes in collaboration with department leaders.
  • Coordinate payroll efforts for Faculty, Staff, and Postdoc positions ensuring timely funding and paperwork completion.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and university policies.
  • Utilize HR tools such as ConnectCarolina, PeopleAdmin, LawLogix I-9 system, and InfoPorte for HR and payroll actions.
  • Bachelor’s degree and two years of professional HR management experience required; equivalent training and experience considered.
  • Strong communication skills, business judgment, discretion, independence, and ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Preferred qualifications include HR certifications (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP/SCP), experience with PeopleSoft and higher education HR, and visa management experience.
  • Full-time permanent position with a hiring range of $75,000 to $82,500 and a proposed start date of December 1, 2025.
