Overview:
As a Steampunk Instructional Designer, you be responsible for developing and implementing a new learning management system. You will work as part of a cross functional team to engage with end users to design an effective approach to ensure adoption of the system.
Contributions:
- Support the training development, delivery and user adoption of a new LMS.
- Lead efforts to develop interactive and engaging training materials (training videos, user guides, gamified learning).
- Understand and analyze business processes and work with teams to transition requirements into training materials for client.
- Analyze existing training materials and provide assessment.
- Producing, editing, recording and audio/visual content that is 508 compliant with closed captions.
- Incorporating knowledge checks and/or interactive learning techniques.
- Developing extra modules for future use.
- Developing supplemental materials (e.g. infographics, case studies, fact sheets, video clips with closed caption, or reference sheets).
- Deliver and facilitate training
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree with 10+ years of work experience OR Masters degree and 8+ years of work experience
- 5+ years experience in large scale IT training efforts
- 3+ years experience in areas of change management and communications
- Knowledge and awareness of ADDIE
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Familiarity with design thinking
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working with Salesforce
- Experience working with Articulate 360 – Storyline and Rise
- Experience working on multi-disciplinary, cross-functional teams including Service Designers, UX and UI designers, technologists, data scientists, engineers, and solution architects
- Experience working within an Agile delivery framework
- Previous work experience in or with the federal government
