Instructional Designer
Remote North Carolina, United States of America
Full time
If you are looking for a meaningful career where people work and act with passion, rethink the existing and always strive to find the best solution - you have come to the right place. We develop future technologies to relentlessly make supply chains better.
We are a leader in supply chain software solutions, helping organizations streamline operations, reduce costs, and improve efficiency.
About the role
We’re looking for an Instructional Designer who’s passionate about turning knowledge into engaging learning experiences. Your primary focus will be on employee onboarding and internal process training, helping new hires get up to speed quickly and ensuring current employees have the tools they need to thrive. You’ll work side-by-side with program managers and subject matter experts to translate expertise into clear, interactive, and memorable content. From time to time, you may also lend your skills to customer-facing product training, ensuring our external audiences get the same thoughtful, high-quality learning experience.
What a day in the life looks like
- Design and develop learning experiences for onboarding and internal processes that are practical, engaging, and easy to follow.
- Collaborate with program managers and SMEs to capture knowledge and transform it into structured training content.
- Build eLearning modules, videos, and other materials using Articulate and other design tools.
- Apply adult learning principles to ensure content is relevant, accessible, and impactful.
- Test and iterate on learning experiences, incorporating feedback to improve usability and effectiveness.
- Occasionally support the creation of customer product training to ensure consistency in learning quality across audiences.
- Keep a pulse on trends in instructional design and suggest creative approaches to bring training to life.
What makes you a great fit
- Experience in instructional design, curriculum development, or learning & development.
- Strong knowledge of adult learning theories and how to apply them in real workplace training.
- Proficiency with Articulate (Rise and Storyline) and other eLearning tools.
- A knack for simplifying complex processes into clear, easy-to-understand training.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills — you love working with SMEs and turning their knowledge into polished, learner-friendly content.
- Bonus points if you’ve designed onboarding programs, internal process training, or customer product training before.
How this role fits into the bigger picture
Onboarding is often the first real experience employees have with our culture and processes. In this role, you’ll shape that experience — ensuring new hires feel confident, supported, and ready to contribute. By building effective, engaging training for employees (and occasionally for customers), you’ll create a foundation that not only helps individuals succeed but also strengthens the entire organization.
Salary $90,000.00
